Why does the Olympus app use a deposit?
- Your deposit guarantees control. It sets the virtual limit on your spending. Your monthly mobility expenses will never exceed this limit.
- The deposit also ensures that outstanding invoices are always paid to Olympus Mobility.
- When creating an account, the Olympus app recommends a certain deposit. This recommendation is determined based on your chosen favourite mobility options combined with extensive data analysis.
- After you create an account, you increase or decrease your deposit as desired.
- You will receive a credit note in the event of a decrease and a deposit invoice in the event of an increase.
- You pay the deposit once or when updating.
- The transactions you make in the Olympus app when travelling around will appear on a purchase invoice. You pay this monthly via direct debit or bank transfer.
1. The deposit guarantees control and avoids outstanding invoices
The deposit is the maximum amount you can spend in the Olympus app. The monthly expenditure you make with the app does not exceed this amount. That way, you are in control of your spending.
Besides a virtual limit on your spending, the deposit is also a way to avoid credit risk. In the event that any invoices remain outstanding or your account is deactivated, any expenses incurred will certainly be reimbursed to Olympus Mobility.
By paying your deposit when creating your account, both you and we are assured that purchased tickets and other expenses in the Olympus app are definitely paid for. This way travelling around is simple and safe for both you and Olympus Mobility.
If you decide to deactivate your account and no invoices are outstanding, you will of course receive your deposit back in full.
You pay your deposit once or when you increase your maximum amount. If you reduce your deposit, you will receive a credit note.
The advised amount is determined based on your favourite mobility options.
When creating your account, you choose your favourite mobility options. Based on your choices, the most suitable deposit is suggested. This recommendation is grounded in extensive data analyses on the travel behaviour of current Olympus Mobility users.
These analyses show three profiles:
- You regularly park or take the bus, tram and metro
- You regularly use one of these services: train / refuel / cambio
- You regularly combine the train with refuelling or cambio
The average mobility expense was also mapped for each profile. By combining your favourites with this average, a certain deposit is proposed.
Deposit and purchase invoices are sent by email to your entered invoice email address with the pdf attached. You can also track invoices via the Olympus app and request a copy.
2. Determine the amount of your deposit
Is your deposit too high or too low? You can adjust it as you please. You’re in control.
- Go to ‘Budget’ in the Olympus app
- Click on your company budget
- Click on ‘Change deposit’
- Increase or decrease the deposit
On decrease, you will receive a credit note. On increase, you will receive a new invoice of your payment.
For example, you best increase your deposit when you add an employee to your account. You can lower it again when you deactivate an account.
This is because your deposit determines the virtual spending limit in the Olympus app. The moment you add a person to your account, you might reach that limit sooner. To ensure that you can keep travelling with the app, you should adjust the deposit.
That way, you keep control over the mobility expenses in your business and never face any unpleasant surprises. Any outstanding invoices will also always be paid.
